The Notorious BIG, also known as Biggie Smalls, was an American rapper from Brooklyn, New York. Born Christopher Wallace in 1972, he became one of the most iconic figures in hip-hop of the 1990s. His distinctive lyrical style, deep voice and onstage charisma helped make him one of the most successful rappers most acclaimed of all time. Biggie released his first studio album, "Ready to Die," in 1994, which included hits like "Juicy" and "Big Poppa." Sadly, his life was tragically cut short by an unsolved murder in 1997 at the age of 24. Despite his untimely death, Biggie left a lasting musical legacy and continues to be celebrated as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
