A look back at the career of the DJ, pioneer of electro disco.

An exceptional musical heritage since the 70s

Marc Cerrone is an iconic musician and producer who marked the 70s with flagship titles such as "Supernature" and "Love in C Minor" . From the beginning, he revolutionized disco by integrating symphonic orchestrations and electronic elements. After conquering the United States, where his first album sold more than 3 million copies , he became a key figure in music. Throughout his career, Cerrone has produced more than 20 albums and collaborated with renowned artists such as Bob Sinclar and David Morales , leaving an indelible mark on the world music scene.

An artist still present at 71

The DJ regularly returns to the stage, especially after a remarkable performance in November 2023 in Nice, during the "C'est Pas Classique" festival. Cerrone revisited his greatest hits like "Supernature" and "Give Me Love". He revives his presence on stage again in 2023 with his Cerrone Electro Symphonic Orchestra , a project mixing electronic music and symphonic orchestrations. Of course, in 2024, you rediscovered him during the Paris Olympics.

The Paris Olympic Games, a success combining art and sport

During the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games on July 26, 2024, the song “Supernature” was used during the elevation of the flame. Since then, the song has exploded the charts with more than a million and a half Shazams. “Supernature” made more than historic the torch relay plan of Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Carl Lewis, Nadia Comaneci and the performance of dancer Shaheem Sanchez who poetically interprets “Supernature” in sign language. Cerrone also said “It was a great emotion, a great pride and it was magnificent to hear this song in the middle of this illumination of the Eiffel Tower. I had never experienced anything like it.”

His musical legacy is not limited to his hits from the 70s. In 2024, Cerrone is more active than ever, reinterpreting his classics and creating new tracks that continue to inspire the contemporary electro and disco scene . His career spanning more than five decades is a testament to his talent and ability to reinvent himself, while remaining true to his musical roots.
